Obituary

Pauline F. Bolognia, 96 of Huntley, passed away at her daughter’s home in Huntley, following a lengthy illness.

She was born January 19, 1921 in Chicago, the daughter of Anthony and Catherine (Picorelli) Sciaccotta. She was a twin to Jasper Sciaccotta and a sister to eight brothers and sisters. She married Frank Bolognia in Chicago and the couple made their home in Bellwood/Hillside, where they raised their family. In later life she enjoyed traveling and realized her dream of traveling to Italy. She especially enjoyed time with her grandsons.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Bruce) Dodge of Huntley and Dolores Anderson of Huntley, her grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Jake & Joshua, her sister, Ann (Lenny) Gaul and her brother, Anthony (Pat) Sciaccotta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and six brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3rd, at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and on Saturday, February 4th after 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
