Marie Jessogne, 77 of East Dundee, died peacefully, February 2, 2017 with her loving family.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will also be one hour prior at Church. Marie was born March 6, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Vernon and Marcella Bowman. On July 12, 1958, she married Donald Jessogne. She was an artist who loved ceramics, sewing and crafting. She was a member of St. Edward’s High School Board for 13 years and was also a member of the Dundee Library Book Club. Marie was a devoted, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her favorite 11 children, Jim (Dana) Jessogne, Kim (Ed) Dunlap, Jeff (Pamela) Jessogne, Brian (Robin) Jessogne, Greg Jessogne, Julie (Dave) Novalinski, Todd Jessogne, Wayne Jessogne, Lisa Jessogne, Steve (Cheryl) Jessogne, Linda Jessogne, she is survived by her 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and by her brothers, and sisters, JoAnne Sears, Charles Bowman, Mike Bowman, Pat Oldenburg, Theresa Ashworth, Roger Bowman, Linda Schaer, Cathy Ganson and Robert Bowman. Marie is survived by her life long companion, Bill Shank,his children and grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. Marie is preceded in death by her parents and by her husband.

I truly sorry over the loss of such a wonderful woman and mother. Well, I did not know her personally I have the honor of calling her daughter Julie my friend. My apologies for not being able to pay my respects in person. I hope you cherish the memories you have of such an amazing woman.

Condolences to all of us who loved dear cousin Marie...especially her children, siblings and Bill. We will miss her every day till we meet again. She lived her life loving her children and setting a good example of faith. Her life wasn't easy, but she never complained and helped others as best she could. Yes Jesus died to give us the chance to live under His Kingdom Government, which he taught us to pray for in the Our Father prayer. May that hope sustain us as we look forward to the blessings he will bring and we will see Marie and all our loved ones again as the meek inherit the earth Revelation 21:3,4.
