Obituary

Eileen M. Wolff, 83 formerly of Huntley, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home in Crystal Lake following a lengthy illness.

She was born August 20, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of James E. and Esther (Pfenning) O’Connor. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, William E. Wolff on May 4, 1957. The couple made their home in Crystal Lake and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2007. She enjoyed shopping, puzzles, vacations on the beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Eileen’s family brought her the most joy, she had many lifelong friends whom she cherished. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Scott (Phyllis) Wolff, Jeffrey (Lavon) Wolff, Lynn (Michael) Cosley, William Wolff and Patricia (Brian) Heinkel, her seventeen grandchildren, Thomas, Jason, William, Jennifer, Christopher, Jaclyn, Courtney, Kelsey, Kendall, Jarett, Justin, Joseph, Kyle, Sydney, Teddy, Joshua & Matthew, her eight great-grandchildren, C.J., Teagan, Jaden, Rylan, Cameron, Hunter, Isabella & Luca, her brothers, Glenn O’Connor and James (Rosemary) O’Connor and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, her daughter, Lori and her brother, Roy O’Connor.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9th, at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, February 10th, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church. My condolences to the entire Wolff family. Your mom gave great joy to my mom when we lived down the street from each other. I retain fond memories myself of those days as well.

To Scott, Lynn, Jeff, Billy and Patty - I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom and I became great friends while living in Worthington Hills. She was so much fun We had a great time bowling, shopping, and laughing together. I will miss her. I know you were all very close to her and she will be missed by all her family. My prayers and heartfelt condolences are with you Lynn, thank you for keeping me posted on your moms health these last few years.

To Scott and Phyllis. Losing a loved one is difficult, but the loss of a mother is heartbreaking to say the least. She raised a great son with a good heart. My family would like to extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.
