Carol J Hardt, 69 of Huntley Sun City and formerly of Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove, died suddenly, Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Sherman Hospital .
A visitation for Carol will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Susan J. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Carol was born February 4, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth (Wilgotski) Mendel. On November 10, 1962 she married Craig A. Hardt. She worked as a Insurance Executive until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Craig of Huntley, her children, Brett (Susan) Hardt, Sr. of Scottsdale, AZ, her daughter Corrine “Corky” (Brian) Caldwell of Mundelein,IL , her grandsons, Patrick McGrath, Jr. and Brett Hardt, Jr. She is also survived by her brother Phillip (Carol Marie) Mendel.
She is preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Gloria Ramano.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, God- mother to my daughter, Laura, and a very dear friend. I have memories from 1957 when we met the first day of high school.
