Dolories Joy Baglayan, 83 of Spring Grove, Illinois, died peacefully February 22, 2017 at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington surrounded by her children.
Dolories was born November 21,1933 in Port Angeles, Washington. She married Harry Baglayan on November 9, 1952. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, playing Bingo and her time at Leisure Village. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Alyce (Dale) Verhaeghe, Chandler, AZ, Harry (Marlene) Baglayan, South Elgin and David (Diane) Baglayan, McHenry, IL, and by her five loving grandchildren, Melissa, Amanda, Timothy, Brandon and Adam and her loving great granddaughter, Reese. She is also survived by her sister, Leta Harrison. Her sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s, Mary Gattuso and Liz and Frank Sode and many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Snuggles.
Dolories is preceded in death by her husband, Harry who died February 1, 1994, her mother, Bernice Pagel, her father, William Marshall, her stepfather, Ray Pagel, her brother, William Marshall Junior, and her sister, Ruth Westbrook.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 11:00am till 1:00pm and then there will be a memorial service at 1:00pm all at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home located at 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Baglayan family or to a charity of one’s choice.
