Obituary

Marilyn L. Burhite, 85 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away at her home on Thursday morning, March 9, 2017 following a lengthy illness.

She was born March 8, 1932 in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Kimmell) Angarola. She graduated from Austin High School. She was united in marriage to Everett A. Burhite on April 28, 1951. The couple made their home in Hanover Park where they raised their family. In 1999, Marilyn moved to Sun City, Huntley. She especially enjoyed her artistic creations of sculpture, painting and stained glass. She enjoyed music and playing cards.

She is survived by her children, Roger (Darlene) Burhite of Schaumburg, Ronald (Debby) Burhite of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Sharon (Scott) Slayton of Tampa, Florida, Robert (Kathi) Burhite of Elgin and James (Alison) Burhite of Boca Raton, Florida, his daughter-in-law, Mary Burhite, fourteen grandchildren, Felicia, Anthony, Richard, Jason, Tracy, Amy, Tiffany, Krista, Brian, Kristen, Kelli, Andrew, Matthew and Maia, many great-grandchildren, her brother, Richard (Marilyn) Angarola of California and her sister, Dorothy Nolan of Huntley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett and her son, Richard.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
