Linda Claire Montemayor, 65 of Huntley, died, March 24, 2017 peacefully at her home with her family by her side.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4-8pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery.
Linda was born June 25, 1951 the daughter of William and Evelyn Beaman. On October 11, 1969, she married Jose Montemayor. In 1988 she and her husband started Montemayor Construction Co. She was an integral part of the family business and was the office/business manager. Linda enjoyed raising her three children. She was creative and had an artistic flair to all she did, especially with her never ending DIY projects. She was strong, caring and always put others before herself. When she was given her cancer diagnosis, she exceeded that diagnosis with her courageous fight that lasted 2 years and 3 months. Linda enjoyed traveling, shopping and her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Marcela) Montemayor, Gina (John) Seaton and Anna (Rick) Hummel and by her grandchildren, Joey, Autumn, Alex, Breanna, Mia and Adella. She is also survived by her fiancé, Bruce Sarna.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jose and a brother Wayne.
