Rick Weaver, 59 of Huntley, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at JourneyCare Hospice Center in Chicago.
He was born December 8, 1957 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Dale R. and Joan (Huddleston) Weaver. He moved with his family at an early age to Elgin where he grew up and graduated from Elgin High School in 1976. He was united in marriage to Sharon L. Recob on May 8, 1982. The couple made their home in Elgin for a number of years and in 1988 moved to Huntley. Rick worked for Town and Country Distributors in Itasca for over twenty years. He loved cars and BMW motorcycles, was known to be handy and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, his daughter, Kristin (John) Baldo all of Huntley, his sister, Kathi Halac of Crystal Lake and his nephews, Steven and Gregory Halac.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a Service of Remembrance at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center.
