Brianna Marie Soto, 17 of Pingree Grove, passed away, May 4, 2017 after injuries sustained in a car accident.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to her family.
Brianna was born October 22, 1999 in Elgin, Illinois the daughter of Edgar Soto and Michelle Pichardo. Brianna was a junior at Hampshire High School. She had her very own style, she loved make-up, clothes and was very trendy. Brianna was a Star Wars fanatic and loved sushi. She was beautiful, and loving, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. Brianna will be missed by all who knew her. Brianna’s life will go on due to her family’s wish to donate her organ’s to others.
She is survived by her parents, Michelle (David Ortiz), Edgar (April) Soto, by her sisters, Makayla, Isabella, Vanessa and by her brother, Angelo. She is survived by her grandparents, Silvia and Francisco Pichardo, Maria Ibarra and Eduardo Soto, Salvadore and Josephine Ortiz, Debbie and John Lopez and by many aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Tyson who misses her greatly. Brianna is preceded in death by her Uncle Eddie “May the Fourth be with you.”

No tengo palabras para decir como me siento, necesitaba una razón para entender porque las cosas pasan de ésta manera, si bien sigo sin poder aceptar lo que pasó, leer éstas palabras y ver la decisión tan difícil de donar sus órganos me hace sentir un poquito mejor, saber que nuestra perdida es la vida para alguien más me hace pensar que hay un futuro, y que despedirnos de ella no es más que sólo eso, una despedida, que la volveremos a ver y estaremos riendo juntas pronto.
