Jim Anderson 68 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away May 24, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.
Jim was born August 13, 1943 in Chicago, the son of William E. and Victoria (Walusiak) Anderson. He grew up near Wrigley Field and graduated from Lane Technical High School. He was united in marriage to Carole A. Martin on September 14, 1963. The couple lived in Chicago for many years later moving to Niles. Jim was in the printing industry and for many years owned and operated a printing franchise. In 2003 the couple moved to Huntley. He loved sports and enjoyed every sport whether he played it or watched it. Jim was on the 12” Traveling Softball League and enjoyed softball, golf and tennis at Del Webb. Jim was a wonderful role model for his family and left them with a wonderful legacy of love.
He is survived by his wife, loving wife, Carole , his four daughters, Corilyn (Tom) Newman of Sleepy Hollow, Melissa (George) Kelly of Lake In The Hills, Jennifer (Linas) Olsauskas of Woodridge & Jessica (Christopher) Talalaj of Prospect Heights, his nine grandchildren; Samantha, Tommy, Roxanne, Rachel, Rebekah, Alex, Brad, Christopher & Amanda, his sister, Barbara (Rich) Frank of Coshocton, Ohio, his brother, Bob (Brenda) Anderson of Las Vegas and his sister-in-law, Judy Anderson of.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. Monday and 900 a.m. – 10:00a.m. on Tuesday at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Fox Valley Evangelical Free Church, 37W073 Huntley Road, West Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois .
