Kenneth James Cihlar, Sr., 71 of Huntley, died peacefully, July 1, 2017
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00am all at Church.
Ken was born September 12, 1945 the son of James and Mae Cihlar. He served in the United States Army. He married Nancy Oenning on November 24, 1990. He worked most of his career for Illinois Bell in the Public Coin division and later for the State of Illinois in Human Services. He was an animal lover at heart, loved watching tv and listening to music. He and Nancy enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Green Lake and when able to be on their boat.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his children, Ken, Tom, Patricia (Daman) Jones and by his grandchildren, Gracie, Erik, Tasha, Sean, Chris, Matthew, Mikey, Kaylee and Alex and by his faithful companion, Peanut.
He is preceded in death by his parents, by his brothers, Ron and Don and by his first wife, Marita Cihlar.
