David G. Homan, 72 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Huntley on Saturday morning, July 1, 2017.
He was born September 6, 1944 in Clarkfield, Minnesota, the son of Raymond J. and Justine (Grengs) Homan. He was raised and educated in Clarkfield, graduating from Clarkfield High School and went on to and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Mundelein University in Chicago. He was united in marriage to Rosemary J. Hansen on April 4, 1964 in Granite Falls, Minnesota. The couple made their home in the Chicago area where they raised their family and he worked as an accountant in the transportation industry spending 30+ years at International Harvester / Navistar and its affiliated companies, retiring in 2010. David enjoyed playing bocce ball, trips to the casino and watching golf.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of Huntley, his daughter, Christine (Michael) McGowan of New Lenox, his son, Jonathan (Tami) Homan of Forest Park, his grandchildren, Madison, Matthew, Dillon, Kennedy, Daniel and Derek and his brother, Stanley (Sharon) Homan of Boyd, Minnesota.

David was my very best friend and considered my brother. Have many sports and life memories from our younger days. I still hear his laugh!
