Carolyn Jean Blomberg, 81, of Elk Grove Village, passed away Friday morning, August 25 at Tower Hill Healthcare Center following a lengthy illness.
Carol was born October 30, 1935 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Edward and Ruth Elizabeth (Jacobs) Neurauter. She married Bruce B. Blomberg on July 10, 1964 in Mt. Prospect. They resided in Elk Grove Village for 35 years. Carol was an artist at heart and enjoyed calligraphy, drawing and painting.
She is survived by her children Sherry (Jamie) Rahn of Lake Bluff, Bradley (Holly) Blomberg of West Lafayette, Indiana, Lisa (Larry) Sliwa and Becky (Kenneth) Charlet, both of Huntley, and her grandchildren Andy, Scott, Michael, Brandon, Emmitt, Ryan and Alexander. Her husband Bruce preceded her in death.
