Yvonne A. Bartz, 80 of Huntley, passed away peacefully, August 30, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
Visitation will be Friday from day 4-8 at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home -10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Yvonne was born March 19, 1937 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Ida Schwarz. On April 27, 1957 she married Robert H. Bartz. She was a member of St. Mary Church and belonged to the Woman’s Club and also volunteered at the Sun City Cam Lodge. Yvonne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob”, her children, Robert (Rose) Bartz, Debra Bartz, Ronald (Dianne) Bartz, Richard (Cheri) Bartz and Darlene Brichetto. She is survived by her 9 grandchildren, Jason, Brittanie, Ryan, Danny, Nicole, Danielle, Michelle, Megan, and Cameron. She is also survived by her sister, Joan (John) Schwarz-Knapp. Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents.

Our sincere sympathy to the Bartz family. Yvonne has been a a beautiful friend and a perfect neighbor to us for the Past several years. We will always remember her friendly smile and cheerful personality. We are certain she has been welcomed Into heaven into the open arms of Jesus Christ.. .we thank God for sharing this angel with us.

You have been a devoted husband and loving care giver, much admired by those of us who saw you two together at St. Mary. God bless you and all your family.
Looking back...knowing her as we grew up, Yvonne was a pretty girl with a bright personality whose company I enjoyed. She was an excellent student, strong athlete and probably, then as later, neat-as-a-pin. As same age cousins, she was a part of my life not to be forgotten.
You have been a neighbor and friend for over 16 years. You will be dearly missed. Our sympathy and prayers go out to your Bob and your family.
