Bounnhang Chacktryvong, 76 of Elgin, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 30, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 11, 1941 in Laos, the daughter of Jeur and Bay Arounvong. She was united in marriage to Lamdouane Chacktryvong in June of 1965. The couple moved to the United States and made their home in Elgin.
She is survived by her husband, Lamdouane of Elgin, her daughters, Thongdeng (Tonee) Kongvongsay of Shawnee, Kansas, Ngeune (Inthalongsone) Khounviseth and Keo (Tai) Khong both of Elgin, her grandchildren, Michael, Jada, Jet and Sky, her great-granddaughter, Mae and her sisters, Bounnyong, Thiengsy and Chantho. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Khamla.
