Patricia Joann Goodall-Ukleja

Obituary

Patricia Joann Goodall-Ukleja, 86 of Huntley and Hodgkins, died peacefully, November 5, 2017
As the saying goes, there’s another angel in heaven. After a long and courageous journey, Pat decided it was time for her to go and so she did. A piece of her families’ hearts went too.
Pat was born August 20, 1931 in Judsonia, Arkansas. The daughter of Albert and Cornia Walker. In 1947 she married Walter Goodall and had over 25 years together before he passed in 1978. Later she married Norman Ukleja, also for over 25 years before his passing in 2004. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Nothing meant more to Pat than her family. She would move heaven and earth to make sure they were happy, safe and loved. And though the recent past didn’t allow for staying connected to family and friends, she held them close in her heart. Before retirement, Pat spent many years in managing bridal businesses as well as some time at Loyola Hospital working in the outpatient department. She was always grateful for all in her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Al) Adamek, Deb (Paul) Julson, step-daughter, Bonnie (Jim) Christie and step-son, Bob Ukleja. She is also survived by her 5 grandsons, Philip Crutchfield (Angie), Scott Christie (Euhno), Ryan (Robin), Joe, and Tom (Alysia) and by her nearly 10 great grandchildren, (Randy, Emma, Addison, & another in 2018), Corey, (Atticus & Olive), Adam, (Jackson & Bronwyn). Pat is also preceded in death by her son, Randall Goodall in 1966.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 9:00am-10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley with a Funeral Mass being celebrated at 10:00am. Burial will be private at St. Casimir Cemetery. Pat had a special place in her heart for veterans so if you are so inclined and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a veteran’s cause of your choice.

I was so honored to have known Pat during her time in Hodgkins, IL. She was very active along with Norm in our community. She was such a kind and wonderful woman. She will be missed, but for each of us that knew her, we were blessed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
