Obituary

Patricia A. Ciesla (nee Kelly), 64 of Huntley, passed away on Tuesday morning, November 7, 2017 at the University of Chicago Medical Center after her long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

She was born January 11, 1953 in Chicago, the daughter of John C. and Patricia A. (Walsh) Kelly. She grew up on the far northwest side of Chicago. She married Walter (Mike) Ciesla in 1973 and the couple raised their family in Des Plaines. In 2005 she moved to Huntley. Patricia was very close with her family. She loved her grandchildren and was very involved in their activities. She was 100% Irish and enjoyed her many trips to Ireland, loved the color “Hot Pink” and her dogs Gizmo and Trouble.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly A. (Patrick) Cordes of Elgin, her son, Michael W. Ciesla of Huntley, her grandchildren, Shane and Ryan, her father, John C. Kelly of Florida and her brothers, Thomas P. (Trudy) Kelly and Sean C. Kelly, both of Huntley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia A. and her grandparents, Ann and Thomas Walsh.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, November 10th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will precede the Mass at 1:00 p.m. at the church. For more information please call 847-515-8772 or online condolences can be directed to www.defiorejorgensen.com

Your mother will be missed. Always liked her smile and laugh. Shane and Ryan were lucky to have had such a loving grandmother. RIP Patti may God welcome you with open arms!
