Thomas A. Eberly, 84 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Tower Hill Healthcare Center in South Elgin.
He was born January 16, 1934 in Elgin, the son of Leo and Frieda (Blanken) Eberly. He was united in marriage to Nancy J. Bailey on September 18, 1954. The couple made their home in Lundstrom Manor in Dundee, where they raised their family. Thomas worked for Illinois Bell for many years. In 1995 the couple moved to Minnesota and to Huntley in 2013. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood carving and painting ducks.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Huntley, his children, Gale (Jim) Dean, Michael (Chris) Eberly and Craig (Cathy) Eberly, his grandchildren, Patrick, Katie, Kelsey, Lanette, Matthew, Brandon, Janelle, seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Hunter, Kylie, Luke, Joslyn, Tre and Kennedy. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service on Monday, February 5th at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main Street, Huntley. Memorials in his name may be made to Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church or Eagle Lake Lutheran Church in Minnesota or JourneyCare Foundation.
